A Social Running Club

Bee all you can bee….

We are a social running club based in rural South Lanarkshire, Scotland. The club is suited to the social runner who wants to run with company and maybe even enter a race. Most importantly it’s an opportunity for regular runs with some friendly folk.

About Us

A club for all

Formed in 2013 by a group of local jogscotland leaders who thought “Wouldn’t it be good to have a running club which is a bit like jogscotland and a bit like a running club but with more emphasis on support, encouragement, non-competitiveness, banter, fun, oh and lots of night outs”.

We have had ultra-runners, marathoners, half marathoners, ironman, 10k and 5k runners. Different goals but we abide by the same idea, not to take ourselves too seriously and bee all we can bee. We have made some really good friends and continue to do so. Why not come along and give us a try?

Training

Your goals, our support

Some members may be training for a race and others may simply want to run to build or maintain fitness. We are a group coached club running on routes which accommodate all paces;  both plodders and speedsters will gain from clyderunners.

We train on Tuesdays and have regular Sunday social runs. All of our sessions are updated on the clyderunners facebook page which includes our regular Tuesday sessions, long runs and other ad hoc runs.

Run with clyderunners

We encourage everyone who shares our social running ambitions to come along and join us. We recommend that you should be comfortable running around 40 minutes to an hour before joining.

For beginners, there is an excellent jogscotland programme in Carluke with very good structured coached programmes.

If you want to try us out, give us a shout on facebook, drop us an email or just turn up to one of our sessions.

Tuesday non clubrun - 4 × 4 min efforts with 2 min jog recovery- enjoyed that. Things I took away: - 1st effort is usually slower to get the engine running - more cadence = more speed - check I don't have a stone in shoe before starting
Easy paced 5 miles tonight from wishaw sports centre with a wee segment blast & a nice wee climb up muirhouse Brae 🐝
